My First Children’s Book- “The Teeth Bugs And The Bunny”

The Teeth Bugs And The Bunny is a fun book to have your little ones brush their teeth.

Stories and books have always helped me in several ways.

Little more than 2 years ago, I weaved a simple story for my son to have him brush his teeth, that story is now a book that many kids adore.

It was such a joyful moment to see my son flipping through the pages of the book in awe, the story he had only been listening to was now in front of his eyes. Continue Reading

Top 5 Wipes in India for sensitive skin

Motherhood introduces us to many things new; you may have known wet-wipes, used them as well, but only once you are a mom would you know how indispensable wipes are for your early motherhood days when your baby is on nurse- burp-poop-sleep-repeat mode.

The gentle, sensitive skin of our babies deserves something that is as soft and pure as they are.

If you are looking for wet wipes for the sensitive skin of your baby, I have curated a comprehensive list of best wipes in India for sensitive skin.

Mothersparsh

I prefer Mothersparsh wipes because of many reasons, the first one being their biodegradablity. These super thick wipes are made from plant and the fabric is medical grade. These unscented water wipes are perfect for Hand & Mouth Cleaning. Containing aloe vera extracts and Vitamin E that soothes the delicate skin of your baby. These are first Indian water- wipes, being 99% water they prevent diaper rashes and that makes them suitable even for new born babies and for babies with skin complications. The wipes are thickest ever wipes that I have used.

Another thing that I liked about these wipes is their packaging. The wipes have double seal to keep the moisture intact. A plastic lock and then a regular sticker seal. Continue Reading

Review- Munchkin Miracle 360° Cup

#notsponsored #review

This post is based on our personal experience and is not sponsored by anybody.

The Munchkin Miracle 360° Cup is one of my best buys for my son.

We never bought a bottle or a spout cup (except for the one spout sipper that was gifted to us). Little A started with a straw sipper at 6 months and then transitioned to Munchkin Miracle cup.

It is as good as drinking from a regular glass without having to worry about spillages and the mess thereafter.

It is as good as drinking from a regular glass without having to worry about spillages and the mess thereafter.

Dental Associations recommend against the bottles post 1 year mark. Prolonged use of a sippy cup or bottles may lead to dental problems in children and may also cause speech development issues.

Ideal is to move from nipple bottles to sippy cups to straw and finally the open cups. With us we  never took to bottles and started with straw cups. I bought Munchkin Miracle 360° Cup because it looked just like a tumbler and it claimed no spillages, also reading the reviews it was too good to resist trying this, however the price was steep.

Pros

  • Plastic bottles/ containers used for eating/drinking are now required to be free of a chemical called bisphenol A (BPA).  These cups come in BPA free plastic.
  • Easy transition to open cups/tumblers
  • Dentist recommended as doesn’t cause any dental problem.
  • Easy to carry in your hand bag diaper bag, the 30 oz cup fits in pocket too.
  • The best part is that it is easy to clean, no cavities or difficult to clean grooves
  • Is sturdy can last for years. Ours has been in use for over 2 years.

Cons

  • Trying to adopt a sustainable lifestyle, this cup does not fit my criteria because it is made up of plastic. They recently launched similar cups in steel, but at more than double the price.
  • Some bit of spillage occurs when the cup falls or is placed horizontally in the bag
  • The rim that comes in contact with lips could’ve been provided with a lid for hygiene reasons. It would also have helped in avoiding spillages when not in use. The lids can be bought Here
  • Comes at a steep price in India. I bought a set of 2 cups for 1800 Rs.

This post is based on our personal experience with the product and with high rating and good reviews of real moms I highly recommend this cup.
